Big 33 Game Will Stay A Pennsylvania/Ohio Affair....At Least in 2007

Big 33 officials have voted to keep Ohio as Pennsylvania's opponent...at least for 2007. The Big 33's vote came on the heels of some disappointment from the Pennsylvania camp that Ohio may not have supplied its best roster because the Big 33 Game fell on the same weekend as the Buckeye State's very popular North-South intrastate all-star game in Columbus.

There was talk that game officials were considering replacing Ohio with Maryland, which took part in one of the best high school football all-star games in the country. The PA stars played Maryland from 1985 through 1992. Next year's game will be the 50th Big 33 Game.

One interesting note on this game is that every Super Bowl played has included a representative from the Big 33 Game.
