2006 PAC-10 High School Football Schedules

Phoenixville is the PAC-10 defending champion, but the Phantoms could be hard pressed to repeat with the loss of quarterback Bill Shirk, who led the league in passing. Phoenixville also has to replace Shirk's top receiver Chase DiFebbo, who averaged over 23-yards a catch.

Upper Perk could be considered one of the favorites because of the return of quarterback Sean Nevin, who finished second in the conference in passing. Nevin completed 136 of 235 passes with 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Helping protech Nevin is tackle John Fieger, who earlier this week gave a verbal commitment to Pittsburgh.

Pottsgrove has some work to do in finding a replacement for running back Brent Carter, who's getting ready for his freshman season at Penn State. Carter, a starter since a sophomore, led the league in rushing last year.

St. Pius X returns its top runner and receiver. Senior Bruce Parkinson was second in the league rushing with 1,204 yards and 12 touchdowns. Senior Jordan D'Emilio ran for 587 yards last year and also caught 44 passes.
