The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control followed the lead of the Strategic Planning Committee and voted down a proposal to expand the state football playoffs from four to six classes. That proposal would have also cut the season from 16 to 15 weeks. Today's vote means the season will remain at sixteen weeks through the 2011 season.
