Nationally-Ranked Pittsburgh Central Catholic Takes on Parkland in Battle of Unbeatens

Today's Pennsylvania 4A high school football championship game will crown either Pittsburgh Central Catholic or Parkland as one of the top teams in the state during the first seven years of the new century.

Both teams enter the game unbeaten. PCC is ranked #11 by USA Today and will be appearing in its third state championship game since 2003. The Vikings lost to North Penn 37-10 in '03 and beat Neshaminy 49-14 to win the title in '04.

Parkland won the 2002 title, and is coached by Jim Morgans, who won two 3A titles while he was the head coach at Allentown Central Catholic in the 90's.
