Pennsylvania High School Football Huddle
Hopewell's Rushel Shell's career is over, but not before he set a couple of records Friday night in his team's 24-21 loss to top-ranked Aliquippa in the WPIAL Class AA semifinals.
Shell rushed for 292 yards to set a new national record for consecutive games with more than 100-yards rushing. It was the Pitt recruit's 39th straight game above the century mark.
The 6-foot, 215-pounder also became Pennsylvania all-time leading rusher, ending his career with 9,078 yards, which moved him ahead of Jeremiah Young of Steelton-Highspire, who ran for 9,027 yards from 2004 to 2007.
