Pennsylvania Moves Closer to Shorter High School Football Season

Pennsylvania is a third of the way from reducing its high school football season from 16 weeks to 15.

On Friday, the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association approved a proposal that would shrink the season beginning with the 2012-2013 season.  In order for the proposal to take effect, it still must pass two more readings in October and December.
