Harrisburg school officials have hired Calvin Everett, a 1998 Cougar alum, as its new head football coach to replace George Chaump.

Everett, who played at Florida A&M and Millersville after graduation, served at Chaump's assistant for three years.  Chaump left Harrisburg after eight years and a 62-29 record.

The 32-year old Everett is best known as holding the record for the longest Cougar run from the line of scrimmage...a 99-yard TD run against Chambersburg.

The Harrisburg Patriot-News reports that Everett is excited to become a head coach at such a young age.
